“Nothing is really ours until we share it.” These words by the English writer C.S.
Lewis perfectly encapsulate why I love traveling the world to hold workshops and
courses.
Teaching is an art in itself; when you share your knowledge with others, you create a
deep bond that goes beyond words and concepts. And when it comes to teaching
art, this connection becomes even more intense.
We start with some theory and then do many exercises, but the real beauty of
teaching lies in being able to inspire my students, seeing their eyes light up when
they succeed at something new, when they achieve an effect or trick that fills them
with pride.
The greatest satisfaction is seeing their progress and being able to celebrate their
successes. I often receive thank-you messages showing me photos of the works they
have done for an event, a contest, or an assignment.
Teaching art is a privilege; it’s not just about teaching how to draw, but how to
observe, see, understand, and interpret first. And in these moments, I return to
learning too and to see the world through the eyes of those who create, to capture
the hidden beauty in the nuances and details. It’s a never-ending journey, a work of
art in constant evolution.
Whether it’s face painting or body painting courses, the starting point is always the study of composition, of lights and shadows, because the goal is to create a unique project, bringing to life a character with its own intriguing and surprising identity, yet a credible and effective one. A “wow” effect that can be amplified through the creation of prosthetic ornaments designed and made not just as simple accessories but as a real completion of the character. An overall vision that starts from the idea, passes through the project, and is developed step by step, using different materials and tools that we come to know and use together.
